Ground Training
In addition to the flying requirements you must pass ground exams in the following subjects:
- Meteorology
- Navigation
- Human Performance and Limitations
- Radio Telephony Theory
- Air Law and Operational Procedures
- Helicopter General and Principles of Flight
- Flight Performance and Planning
- Radio Practical Test
The exams are not particularly difficult, but do require some degree of self-study in addition to what you are taught during the duration of your flying course.
The instructors at Central Helicopters can train and examine on all ground school subjects and are prepared to conduct ground school training on a personal basis.
